Non pro trained and after having four months off his three year old year, Possum took owner/rider/trainer, Mike Jeffcoat to win the 2011 NRHA Non Pro Futurity Level 2 & Primetime with a score of 218.5. The following year, Non Pro coach, Marco Formentin piloted Possum to his highest score to date at the NRBC with a 226.5, garnering the Reserve Championship Open Classic Level 2. Six weeks later, NRHA Professional Joshua Visser and Possum made the Open finals at the NRHA Derby and finished in the Top 20. Back home, Possum is getting ready for the 2013 derbies with Mike Jeffcoat in the Non Pro. The pair is qualified for the 2013 AQHA Select Amateur World Show in Reining.

Come Play with NRHA! The National Reining Horse Association recently approved a revolutionary entry level program to welcome riders of all backgrounds to the Reining arena. The entry level format began in 2010 and provides a fun, educational and family-oriented ladder of competition with an inexpensive $20 Associate membership. Each rung of the ladder welcomes beginning reiners to compete with others of the same skill level while gaining more experience. In addition, an awards program recognizes riders for their achievements.
